Thank you for your interest in Leadership Prep. Let us tell you more about why you should choose to enroll your child in our school.
For all children to reach their full potential, equality of education must exist and home zip codes and a family’s economic status cannot determine the quality of public education to which they have access.
Leadership Prep holds high academic and behavioral expectations for every scholar.
All students, regardless of race or socio-economic status, deserve the academic and character foundation that will prepare them for the rigors of high school, college, and life.
Leadership Prep is an academically rigorous, college-preparatory school.
We are unapologetically focused on setting scholars on the path to college. Our classrooms maximize every learning second and learning is academically rigorous, engaging, and fast-paced. Leadership Prep has an extended school day (7:40am-4:00pm) and longer school year (185 days). Scholars receive frequent homework and focused academic intervention.
Leadership Prep provides an intense focus on literacy.
Closing the achievement gap in education requires effective teachers who implement data-driven instruction, deliver lessons that require students’ hard work, and keep a laser focus on results. Our scholars engage in 225 minutes of literacy instruction daily.
Leadership Prep ensures a safe, disciplined, and respectful school community.
With a clearly defined, firm, and consistent discipline policy and our I LEAD character development program, we hold scholars accountable for demonstrating respectful behavior. We will explicitly teach and develop in students the I LEAD Character Values. Integrity: Do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Leadership: Make a positive impact on your family and your community. Enthusiasm: Be engaged in learning and show excitement for learning. Achievement: Work hard all day and keep your eye on the goal – college. Determination: Never give up, and no matter how hard things get, keep going.
Leadership Prep develops strong partnerships with our families.
We do all of our work with our most important partners – our parents and family community. Our families are equally invested in the success of our scholars. We detail the role and responsibilities that families must fulfill to support our shared work to set our scholars on a path to college.
